Just in case: did you delete browser cookies?

Added: just noticed you're using Allan Style subsilver

but your prosilver = 3.3.11

That's a serious discrepancy!

Cookies - yes deleted many times.

Styles - I had already downloaded and installed the Allan Style Subsilver 3.1.0 for 3.3.11. I had set it as default and deactivated the previous version. However, there was no difference to the login issue, and the 3.1.0 version is still a beta, so I set it back to the older version.
